Jeffrey B. Dierman, Chairman and CEO
Jeffrey B. Dierman is the Chairman and CEO of Dierman Realty Group, LLC and affiliated companies. For nearly forty years, Mr. Dierman has actively been engaged in real estate development and, during that period, Mr. Dierman, together with his partners, has developed over five million square feet of retail space. He was a principal in Petrie Dierman & Partners from 1985 - 1989, a principal in Petrie Dierman Kughn from 1989 - 2001 and, for the last seventeen years, has headed his own company, Dierman Realty Group, LLC. The most recent shopping center developed by Dierman Realty Group, Hollymead Town Center in Charlottesville, VA is a 350,000 project anchored by Target, Harris Teeter and PetSmart. Mr. Dierman and his partners also developed and own Winchester Commons anchored by Target, Home Depot, TJMaxx and PETsMART. They also, among other projects, developed Broomfield Town Center in Broomfield, Colorado, anchored by Home Depot and King Soopers, The Centre at Hagerstown, a 750,000 square foot power center in Hagerstown, Maryland and the Centre at Salisbury, a power center in Salisbury, Maryland.
Dierman Realty Group, along with partners, the Georgelas Group and T-Rex Capital Group, currently are developing Spring Hill Station, a mixed use high-rise project at the Tysons Spring Hill metro station in Tysons Corner, VA. Upon build-out, the project is slated to contain several million square feet of residential, office and retail space. The first two phases of Spring Hill Station, the Ascent and the Adaire, both 400 unit residential buildings, were sold by the development team to Greystar who constructed and manages the multifamily buildings. Another parcel in the Project was sold for planned hotel and condominium development. With the same partners, Dierman Realty Group also developed the Old Town Villas of Key West, a 20 unit luxury fee simple townhome project in the historic downtown district of Key West, Florida. The Old Town Villas project was completed in March, 2019 and is sold out.
Mr. Dierman holds a law degree from the University of Virginia and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Virginia Bar. He was a member of the University of Virginia Law School's National Alumni Council. He also is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has frequently lectured at the ICSC Law Conference. He served on the Board of the Georgetown Law Center Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute for over 20 years and was a member of the Board of Directors of United Bank, a 19+ billion dollar bank wholly owned by United Bankshares (NASDAQ:UBSI), for over 25 years.
